WESTERVILLE, Ohio—Freshman Zoe Sweigart (Canal Winchester) made school history being name the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Newcomer of the Year Thursday morning by the OAC Coaches.
 
Sweigart becomes the first Purple Raider to earn the award in school history for volleyball and also earned Second Team All-OAC honors as well.
  
Zoe was first on the team in kills with 255, she was first on the team and seventh in the OAC in kills per set with 2.68 she also added 63 digs and 31 blocks in the season. Sweigart was served at 311 times only allowing 29 aces, which was good for a 90.7% serve receive rate.
 
Sweigart's most kills in a match came against Heidelberg with 19 but the biggest game of the season for her was 15 kills and four blocks in an upset win over then No. 21 Marietta who was undefeated in the OAC at the time.
