WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's soccer team was picked to finish second in the Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Purple Raiders come off a season where they went 15-5-1 and 8-1 in OAC play to claim their first OAC Regular Season Championship since 1998 and made a run to the OAC Tournament Championship game.
They will once again be led by sixth-year head coach
David Krems, who is the reigning OAC Coach of the Year. The Raiders return the reigning OAC Defender of the Year in
AJ Jaber, along with
Alex Depperschmidt and
Reese Utter who were also All-OAC selections last season.
The Raiders kick-off their season with a pair of home games, starting on Friday, August 29 at 7 p.m. against Trine over at Alliance Elementary School before returning to Kehres Stadium on Sunday, August 31 to take on Waynesburg at 4 p.m.
