UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Mount Union women's wrestling team had six top-3 finishers at the John Carroll Open on Sunday, including a pair of champions.

Freshmen Abigail Mozden (Alliance, OH / Alliance) and Allison Ott (Tiffin, OH / Tiffin Calvert) won 131 and 207, respectively.

Freshman Molly Luebke (Brookville, OH / Brookville) finished runner-up at 117, while freshmen Gabi Gartin (Alliance, OH / Chippewa) at 124, Nadira Matlock (Warren, OH / Austintown Fitch) at 145, and freshman Lori Grimes (Raymond, OH / Marysville) at 180 also finished third.

Also placing for the Purple Raiders were freshman Kyler Lamb (Lexington, OH / Lexington) (103-4th), freshman Alexandra Singleton (West Chester, OH / Lakota West) (131-4th), sophomore Alexis Wetzel (Dayton, OH / Walter E. Stebbins) (180-4th), freshman Addison Lyon (Marysville, OH / Marysville) (138-5th), freshman Addison Paparella (East Palestine, OH / East Palestine) (117-6th), freshman Brooklyn Madal (Cleveland, OH / Normandy) (124-6th), freshman Calynn Briesemeister (Westerville, OH / Thomas Worthington) (145-6th), sophomore Hailey Rose-Caldwell (Addyston, OH / Taylor) (160-6th), and freshman Erta Beqiri (Cleveland, OH / Normandy) (117-7th).

Mount Union will next compete in NCAA Regionals on Saturday, Feb. 21, hosted by Tiffin University.
