Men's Track and Field: Raiders Lead on Day One of OAC Championships

TIFFIN, Ohio—The Mount Union men's track and field team won three events on day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference Track and Field Championship on Friday night.
 
Mount Union currently leads the competition with 83 points which is 34.5 ahead of second place Baldwin Wallace who had 48.50.
 
Mount Union swept the top three podium spots in the 500-Meters. Dylan Easterling won the event with a 1:05.49, Isaac Pittman finished as the runner-up with a 1:05.58 and Ezekiel Dunn grabbed All-OAC honors with a third place 1:06.13. Dane Riley also scored for the Purple Raiders in the event getting fifth with a 1:06.26.
 
Colton Hanlon won the pole vault with a leap of 15-feet 9-inches which is currently tied for 26th in Division III.
 
Josiah Adams won the 400-Meters with a time of 49.67 while teammates Trey Woodley (50.26) and Yahir Hill (50.29) took home sixth and seventh place.
 
Stephen Ulrich and Caleb Cabrera grabbed All-OAC honors with a second and third place finish in the 5,000-Meters running 15:09.59 and 15:14.09.
 
Liam Blake, Donovan Geiger, Austin Hoffman and Cale Borland finished with All-OAC honors with a third place finish in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 10:19.01.
 
Ryan McVicker finished fourth overall in the shot put with a toss of 56-feet 8.5-inches.
 
In the long jump Mount Union grabbed sixth and seventh place as Rhon Bruce jumped 22-feet 7.25-inches and Jesse Kilgore jumped 21-feet 9-inches.
 
Nick Franitti and Ryan Palmer qualified to the finals of the 60-Meter hurdles tomorrow while Josiah Hunter, Brady Burrey and Ryder Greenwood qualified to the finals of the 60-Meter dash. Hunter dropped a 6.83 in the race which is tied for 22nd in Division III.

Mount Union will be back in action on Day 2 of the OAC Track and Field Championships tomorrow with field events beginning at 10 AM and running starting at 2:30 PM.
