WESTERVILLE, Ohio-- The Mount Union women's lacrosse team was selected to repeat as champions the Ohio Athletic Conference in the coach's preseason poll on Friday morning.

The Purple Raiders will look to get back to NCAA post season play for the second straight season as last year the Raiders shared the OAC Regular Season crown and earned the OAC automatic bid winning the OAC Tournament over now NCAC opponent John Carroll.

OAC Head Coach of the Year
Bethany Snider lost the OAC Offensive Player and Goalie of the Year but returns a solid crew led by two first team All-OAC selections and an honorable mention selection.

Senior attacker
Ella Nejad (Rocky River) and senior defender
Delaney Brown (Butler, PA. / Butler Area) return as the two first team All-OAC honorees while junior midfielder
Emma Labbe (Uniontown / Lake) returns as the honorable mention selection.

Mount Union opens its season on the road with a game in Greencastle, Ind. taking on DePauw on Saturday, February 14 at 1 PM. The Raiders then have their home opener on Saturday, February 21 at 1 pm at Kehres Stadium. Mount Union will take on two NCAA Tournament teams from last season in Denison and Hope.
