ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union baseball team has been nationally ranked within the Top 10 for the first time in program history in the latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) rankings.
The Purple Raiders were ranked 8th in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25, the highest ranking ever in any poll in program history, with 413 points.
Additionally, Mount Union was ranked 9th in the ABCA poll, the program's highest ranking in that respective poll.
Mount Union, under the guidance of 30th-year Head Coach
Paul Hesse, is 26-6 overall and 10-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).
The Raiders will hit the road Wednesday for an OAC doubleheader against Marietta, with game one set for 4:00 PM.
