WESTERVILLE, Ohio—Mount Union senior libero Averi Haley (Orrville) was named the women's volleyball defensive player of the week for the Ohio Athletic Conference announced Monday afternoon (9/21).
 
Over the week Haley finished with 101 digs over 19 sets for 5.31 digs per set while helping Mount Union grab five victories. Haley picked up a season-high 31 digs on Saturday against Penn St. Behrend.
 
This is Haley's third career defensive player of the week award in her career and her first this season.
 
Mount Union takes on Hiram at home on Tuesday at 7 pm and then heads to the Worthington Classic hosted by Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. this weekend.
