Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's lacrosse team suffered a 13-4 loss to Oberlin in the home opener Wednesday at Mount Union Stadium.
The Purple Raiders fall to 1-2 after the loss while Oberlin is 1-0 on the season.
Michael Taylor (Broadview Hts/Brecksville-Broadview Hts) had three goals in the loss for Mount Union.
The Yeomen, who out-shot Mount Union 37-20, scored six goals in the first quarter and three in the second to lead 9-0 at the break.
Mount Union got on the board early in the third quarter on a goal from Taylor on a feed from Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont).
Oberlin scored four more times to lead 13-1 with 9:43 to play.
Mount Union scored the final three goals of the game -- one from Toren Moore (Columbus/Hilliard Darby) and two more from Taylor.
Alex Wagman had three goals and four assists to lead Oberlin.
Mount Union stays home to face Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) Saturday at 1 pm at Mount Union Stadium.
