ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's lacrosse team suffered an 8-4 loss to Washington & Jefferson Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders fall to 1-3 after the loss while Washington & Jefferson remains a perfect 3-0 on the season.

Stephen Jones (North Canton/ Green) had two goals in the loss for Mount Union.

The Raiders, who out-shot the Presidents 29-26, got on the board first when Jack Wesner (Medina/Medina) and Hogan Harris (Medina/Medina) connected, before the Presidents would take a 2-1 lead with back-to-back goals from Max Kroll.

Joe Sanislo (Cranberry Twp, PA/ Seneca Valley) tied the game at 2 with 8:41 remaining in the first. The Presidents would notch two in the second half, to take a 4-2 lead at the break.

The Raiders tallied two unanswered goals both a man-up from Jones at the 14:15 mark and 9:15 mark to make it a 4-4 game.

The Presidents scored the final four goals of the game to make it the final 8-4 game.

Tim Agnell and Max Kroll each had three goals for Washington & Jefferson.

Mount Union is back in action Wednesday at 4 pm at Thiel in Greenville, Pa.
