ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's lacrosse team finished its non-conference schedule on a seven-game win streak after a 12-4 win over Franciscan Wednesday night at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders are now 8-3 overall while Franciscan falls to 1-12 on the season.

Hogan Harris (Medina/Medina) had three goals and Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) had a goal and two assists to lead the Mount Union offense.

Mike Richardson (Parma/Holy Name) had seven ground balls and three caused turnovers for the Raiders on defense.

Mount Union scored three of the first four goals of the game over the first 8:28 and went on to lead 4-2 after the first quarter.

The Raiders scored three times in the second quarter and Harris' goal with 59 seconds remaining put Mount Union up 7-2 at the break.

Mount Union scored three more goals in the third quarter to extend to lead to 10-2 before Franciscan scored a goal three seconds in the quarter to close the gap to 10-3.

The Raiders outscored Franciscan 2-1 in the final period for the 12-4 final.

Mount Union hosts Capital in the first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference men's lacrosse game Saturday at 3:30 pm at Mount Union Stadium.

The Ohio Athletic Conference is the third oldest conferene in college sports behind only the Big Ten and Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Associaiton and is sponsoring men's and women's lacrosse for the first time since being founded in 1902.
