Box Score FROSTBURG, Md. - Mount Union's men's lacrosse team fell for the first time this season to Frostburg State 16-4 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (1-1) were led by Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) with one goal and one assist. Hogan Harris (Medina/Medina), Brent Greenberg (Gaithersburg, Md/Quince Orchard) and Jake Michaud-Dorko (Centerville/Centerville) each scored a goal apiece in the loss.
Collin Peters (Portland, Ore/Sunset) made eight saves in goal for the Raiders.
Frostburg St. (3-0) was led by four goals from Devin Colegrove and three goals from Chris Rios.
The Bobcats opened the game by scoring five goals in the first six minutes of play. Daley and Harris scored back-to-back goals for Mount Union to make the score 5-2 at the end of the first quarter.
The Raiders were held scoreless in the second and third quarters as Frostburg State scored eight times to make the score 13-2 after three quarters.
Greenberg's goal and Michaud-Dorko's goal sandwiched three Bobcats goals in the fourth quarter to make the final score 16-4.
The men's lacrosse team is back on the road Saturday as they travel to Arlington, Virginia to play Marymount University at 1:00 pm.
