Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union's men's lacrosse team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference game to Otterbein 13-7 on Saturday at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.
The Purple Raiders (3-7, 0-2 OAC) were led by Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) who scored three goals and passed out a pair of assists in the loss.
Collin Peters (Portland, Ore./Sunset) made 17 saves on 30 Otterbein shots in goal for the Raiders.
Otterbein (9-3, 3-0 OAC), who was picked to win the conference pre-season, got a four goal game from Connor Baak and three goals from Robbie Guiliano.
James Gundling picked up the win in goal for the Cardinals by making nine saves on 14 attempts.
Otterbein scored the first two goals of the game before Daley got Mount Union on the board with 8:10 left in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Mount Union got goals from Josh Stephens (North Canton/Green) and Daley but Otterbein scored five times to take a 7-3 lead into halftime.
Otterbein blanked the Raiders in the third period while adding four goals on the offensive end.
In the fourth quarter, the Raiders outscored the Cardinals 4-2 but is was not enough to erase the eight goal deficit.
The men's lacrosse team will make up a postponed game against Baldwin Wallace at 7:30 pm on Monday, April 13 at home.
