Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union's men's lacrosse team was outscored 5-1 in the fourth quarter and ended up losing 11-8 to Baldwin Wallace Monday night at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.
The Purple Raiders (3-8, 0-3 OAC) were led by Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) and Nick West (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) who each had a pair of goals and an assist in the loss.
Collin Peters (Portland, Ore./Sunset) made 14 saves for the Raiders while allowing 11 goals.
Baldwin Wallace (10-0, 2-0 OAC) remains undefeated behind two goals and an assist from both Brett Librock and Brock Riemenschneider.
Mike Dizonno made eight saves and allowed eight goals for the Yellow Jackets.
Baldwin Wallace scored the first two goals of game but Hogan Harris (Medina/Medina) scored back-to-back goals to tie the game 2-2. West scored before the end of the quarter to give Mount Union a 3-2 lead after the first.
The Yellow Jackets started the second quarter with a goal to tie the game before Mike Richardson (Parma/Holy Name) and Daley scored consecutive goals to give the Raiders a 5-3 lead at halftime.
Again, Baldwin Wallace opened the third quarter with the first goal and again, Mount Union responded with a pair of goals, this time from Daley and West to lead 7-4 with 9:23 left in the third.
From that point on, Mount Union was outscored 7-1, 5-1 in the fourth quarter to make the final tally 11-8 in favor of Baldwin Wallace.
The men's lacrosse team will travel for their next two games at Muskingum on Wednesday, April 15 and at John Carroll on Wednesday, April 22.
