Box Score BEREA, Ohio—Mount Union's men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-2 Ohio Athletic Conference contest to Baldwin Wallace Wednesday evening in Berea.
The Purple Raiders, now 9-3 and 4-1 in the OAC, were led by Brent Greenberg (Gaithersburg, Md./Qunice Orchard) and Hogan Harris (Medina/Medina) who both scored a goal in the effort. Harris also recorded an assist.
Baldwin Wallace, now 12-1 and 4-0 in the OAC, was led by Alex Binner who chipped in three goals in the winning effort. Six total Yellow Jackets recorded scores for the day.
Baldwin Wallace took the first command of the day when Rakich scored with 03:12 remaining in the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets then scored five unanswered goals in the second quarter of play to lead 6-0 at halftime.
The Yellow Jackets continued to extend their lead in the second half, scoring four more unanswered goals to gain their biggest lead of the night of 10.Greenberg recorded the first goal for Mount Union at the 09:34 mark in the fourth quarter. Harris accompanied that goal with one of his own at the 01:37 mark in the fourth quarter. Despite Mount Union's late surge, Baldwin Wallace sustained its lead and secured the 10-2 victory.
Mount Union is back in action on Saturday, April 23rd, as they host Capital for Senior Day. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m.
