Box Score WESTERVILLE, Ohio—The Mount Union men's lacrosse program ended the 2015-16 season with an Ohio Athletic Conference loss to Otterbein on Saturday afternoon by a score of 12-6.
The Purple Raiders finish with a record of 9-5 and 4-3 in the OAC while Otterbein improves to 11-6 and 5-2 in the OAC.
Mount Union was led by Hogan Harris Harris (Medina/Medina) with three goals. Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) recorded one assist on the day as well.
The Cardinals were led by Connor Dziewit, who scored a game-high five goals in the effort.
In the first half, Otterbein outscored Mount Union 7-0 in the first quarter of play to take an early lead. The Raiders finally got on the board in the second quarter off a goal by Brent Greenberg (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) at the 14:44 mark. Otterbein then went on a 2-1 run to end the half and lead 9-2.
In the second half of play, Harris and Josh Stephens (North Canton/Green) recorded score to give the Raiders early momentum. The Cardinal then scored two unanswered goals to take an 11-4 lead at the 02:04 mark in the third quarter. Greenberg's goal at the 01:34 mark made the score 11-5 at the end of the third quarter. Harris scored the lone goal for the Raiders in fourth but Otterbein was able to sustain its lead and seal the victory.
