ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union men's lacrosse team lost 21-3 against John Carroll in regular season play Wednesday night at Mount Union Stadium.

As part of the conference only schedule in 2021, this game was among four of the games that will not count in the Ohio Athletic Conference standings.

The Purple Raiders (6-4, 4-2) were led by Eli Ciotti (Canonsburg, Pa. / Linsly, W.Va.) with two goals.

Alex Ellison (Uniontown / Lake) scored the other goal for the Raiders.

Logan Gebhart (McDonald, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) assisted on all three goals for Mount Union.

Skyler Blake scored five goals to lead John Carroll (10-1, 6-1).

John Carroll scored the first five goals of the game. Ellison scored for Mount Union with 5:54 left in the first quarter with an assist from Gebhart.

Ciotti scored the final goal of the first quarter for the Raiders on a pass from Gebhart.

Mount Union held John Carroll to just five goals in the second quarter but was unable to score any goals.

Ciotti got the first goal of the third quarter off a pass from Gebhart.

John Carroll held Mount Union scoreless the rest of the game while scoring seven more goals.

Faceoff specialist Chris Motter (Hudson) won 20-of-25 faceoffs for the Purple Raiders tonight.

Mount Union heads on the road Otterbein next Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m. in Westerville.
