WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Four Mount Union women's volleyball student-athletes have been named to the 2022 All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams.
Sophomore outside hitterÂ
Heaven Bartell (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy) earned a spot on the All-OAC first team list for the Purple Raiders.
Senior liberoÂ
Alyssa Kasaris (North Royalton) earned second team all-conference for the third straight year, graduate studentÂ
Maria Ellesin (Alliance / Marlington) joined her earning All-OAC second team after being Honorable Mention the past two times and a newcomer to the list sophomore middle hitter Alexis Meyer (Avon Lake) earned Honorable Mention.
Bartell led the Raiders in service aces with 35, was second on the team in digs with 325, third on the team in kills with 217 and fifth in blocks with 29 total.
Kasaris led Mount Union on the defensive side with 5.48 digs per set good for third in the OAC while having 510 digs sitting at third in the OAC as well.
Ellesin led Mount Union in kills with 267 kills good for sixth in the OAC while adding 42 blocks on the season good for fourth on the team.
Meyer led the OAC with 89 blocks and was second in blocks per set with .95, Meyer was fourth on the team with 162 kills with a hitting percentage of .240.
The Purple Raiders will head to Marietta tomorrow Tuesday, November 1 for a 7 PM start in the OAC Tournament.
